Oh No! Your going the Wrong Way.

This is where Ryan and his friend spent most of the football season, sitting on the sideline. They are two of the youngest players and unfortunately instead of letting them play so they can learn they spend most of the game here.  For some reason this Saturday during their seventh game the coach decided to put Ryan in and let him receive the ball.  I don't know anything about how to play this game but when another mom told me they were going to give Ryan the ball and I was so scared for him.  I didn't want him to make a mistake and get blamed for losing the game.

Well, let me just say my worst fears came true.  When the play started he got the ball and cut right then left, he found an opening and took off.  My stomach was full of butterflies because I was so nervous for him but after a couple of seconds I was  feeling like it was going to be OK.  He was running so fast I thought he was going to make a touchdown for sure. I don't know what happened next, he must have gotten a little confused and took a U-turn and started heading towards the other teams goal line.  Needless to say after the play since they were so close the other team easily made a touchdown.  I felt so bad for him, he looked so sad out there.  He told me later that his teammates gave him a hard time.  Luckily, they ended up winning the game so it was all good.  His coaches said he did a good job and he was happy Ryan got that out of the way and he would get another chance at next weeks game.

After the game we went to the Mom & Me class at the Red Bee.  We each made a spooky Halloween house and got to have pizza and ice cream.
